Lao firms demand regulation of illegal imports
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – A large number of Lao businesses that produce goods for the domestic market are at a disadvantage because nothing has been done to control the influx of illegally imported goods.
“Many Lao firms are suffering from lost business because they can’t compete with their rivals who import goods illegally,” the Executive Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Daovone Phachanthavong told Vientiane Times last Wednesday.
